Who We Are

Navigating through any concerns with your child, a possible diagnosis, a new diagnosis, schooling, and transitions to adulthood can be daunting and can easily make anyone feel lost. Core Foundations Consulting was founded to help teach and navigate through those times.

Core Foundations was founded by Mayra Perez. Mayra received her Masters in Education and is a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst.

Mayra has a passion for helping others as she saw first hand the struggles and barriers families go through when navigating though a loved one with a diagnosis. She was determined to help guide others with a companionate approach. She has been in the field since 2008, where she started as a therapist for children. She has years of working with children, adolescents, adults and families developing, supervising and implementing behavioral programs, skill training programs, social skills, and IEP/504 advocacy. She has worked in a variety of settings including in clinic, home, residential, school, and job settings. She specializes in providing individualized guidance and education to those who are neurodivergent. She has taught her clients communication training, independent living skills, self-management, attending and organization skills, and so much more. Though IEP advocacy, she has been able to guide others to optimal school settings. She has helped with the transitions to adulthood, including work settings, social relationships, and conservatorships.

Core Foundations Consulting’s mission is to focus on the person as a whole. We guide parents and educators on best practices for everyone.
